As the school year approaches, we want to ensure that our HUSD students and families are well-prepared. Below is a list of important things to know before the new school year begins. Have yet to enroll? Explore our various neighborhood schools to find the perfect fit for your student here.
School Supply Lists 2024-2025
Early Childhood Development Centers
- Backpack
- Water bottle
- A change of clothes in a Ziploc bag
Parents will receive a welcome email from their student's teacher the afternoon of July 15, 2024, with any additional items that will be needed for class.
Please note: Due to safety concerns, students are no longer able to wear any kind of light-up footwear at school.

There are no issued supply lists for high school.
Teachers will issue individual syllabi at the beginning of the year, which may include specific items needed for each class.
Bus Routes
If your child is eligible for the school bus, you will receive your bus information in the mail.

This year, all our bus stops will be temporarily marked with a yellow sign. Please locate the sign at your bus stop the weekend before school starts.
All eligible bus riders will receive a bus pass with their bus stop information in the mail. This bus pass should be with your child whenever they board the bus. Parents of kindergarten students should make sure that there is someone to meet all kindergarten students at the bus stop.
Replacement bus passes are $5.00. Please contact your driver or email transportation@husd.org for replacement information. Guest riders must obtain a one-day bus pass from the school office prior to boarding the bus.
